1. Sunway Lagoon Theme Park
Located in between Petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya, this oldest water theme park near Kuala Lumpur has three attractive sections namely the Wild West, World of Adventure Rides and Arcades as well as the Waters of Africa. A day out at Sunway Lagoon will never be enough for your kids.
2. Skybridge, Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC)
The highest hanging bridge in the world at 43 and 44 storey high, Skybridge is one of the “must visit” places in Kuala Lumpur for you and your kids to enjoy the magnificent view of Kuala Lumpur and to set foot on the world’s tallest twin tower. You can enter the Skybridge via the KLCC main entrance or via the Suria KLCC entrance.
3. Petrosains (KLCC)
One way for your kids to learn something new even during their holiday is by visiting the Petrosains Discovery Centre in KLCC. The centre is located in the Suria KLCC shopping mall and housed numerous exhibits from dioramas, fun rides as well as replicas. Mini tours and explanations will be given by the resourceful Petrosains guides who are mostly high school and college students.
4. Aquaria (KLCC)
Being near to the KLCC is a great advantage as you can bring your kids to see the underwater world in Aquaria, KLCC. The Aquaria is Kuala Lumpur’s first dedicated aquarium that exhibits over 5,000 marine life including various types of sharks, stingray, exotic sea life and other fishes.
5. National Museum
If you want your kids to know more about the places they are visiting, you cannot miss a trip to visit the National Museum located at Jalan Damansara. At the museum, they will see displays of the country’s earliest kingdoms, transportation, and other unique attractions.
6. Berjaya Times Square Cosmo’s Theme Park
If you are staying around the Golden Triangle and don’t know where to take your children for a fun day out, head down to the Berjaya Times Square and enjoy the Cosmo’s Theme Park complete with rollercoaster ride and arcade games at the comfort of a shopping mall.

8. Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary
The Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary is located in Kuala Gandah in Temerloh, Pahang, approximately 200km on road travel from Kuala Lumpur. It was established in 1989 by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks and quickly became a tourist’s attracting until now. The main reason to open an elephant sanctuary is to promote awareness amongst public on the gentle animal’s plight and realize that the endangered species may extinct due to development and illegal hunting for their tusks.
9. Kuala Gandah Deerland
Another tourist’s attractions that can be found in Temerloh is the Kuala Gandah Deerland. The stragetic location of the Deerland which is hidden away in a countryside near Kuala Gandah not only allows tourists to hand feed the deer’s but also the monkeys, ostriches and mouse deer’s as well as a number of sun bears under the careful supervision of the friendly and informative land keepers.
10. Lighthouse and Fireflies in Bukit Melawati, Kuala Selangor
Kuala Selangor is located about two hours drive away from the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur. You can visit the lighthouse during daytime to watch a memorable scenic view of the lighthouse’s surrounding. Prior to nightfall, you can jump on the river cruise and make your way to the mangrove trees that grows along the banks of the Kuala Selangor River to experience another surreal experience where you will feast your eyes with thousands of fireflies flashing their green lights in the dark.
